It was evident that there was way too much to see to cram into a two night stay so we decided to do a walk down the strip and see a few resorts/casinos, have a nice lunch and supper and take in a show.
When we booked earlier this week, we discovered that this was a very popular weekend because of Veteran's Day in the US making the prices equivalent to the Thanksgiving weekend (ie. 3x the normal seasonal rate). Hence we downgraded our accommodation to the "Tripadvisor.com best buy" and stayed at the Circus Circus on the north end of the strip in one of their premium rooms.

It turned out OK although it was a mile or so from the real heart of the action but we did get some exercise until we found the all day pass for the monorail. The street was packed with weekenders. Here are a few photos of some of the places we visited during our 5 mile trek.

We had lunch at Emeril Lagasse's Table 10 Restaurant at the Venetian.

We looked around the MGM Grand and New York New York Resorts and took the monorail back to our place to get ready for supper and our night out. We returned to NY NY for supper at Il Fornaio's before going to see Cirque de Soleil's KA at the MGM Grand. An absolutely outstanding show and a tremendous technical feat of stage work!

Some nighttime views of LV Boulevard....

We did not head out to any nightclubs after the show for further partying because Chris had left her 5" stiletto heels and black mini-dress at home.
If there is one photo that sums up Las Vegas 2010, this is it ......
