The weather forecast for today was looking like pretty certain heavy rain and cold. It was fairly clear in the morning so the four of us decided to make the best of the dry weather and do a walking tour of the Sonoma town square. A great selection of shops, galleries and restaurants.





After lunch in the square, we decided to head out and do some wine tasting. Francis Ford Copolla had just opened a new winery/restaurant in Geyserville so we decided to go and check it out. Finally the skies opened up and we ended up driving there in a deluge. The winery was quite spectacular, two stories, lots of Godfather and other movie memorabilia.

We went to downtown Geyserville to visit a winery on the other end of the spectrum.

We had been there several years before and enjoyed the hospitality and size of the wine tasting samples. Here's Chris and the owner's wife.

We met John and Janet for supper at a great Italian restaurant in Sonoma. We had fun celebrating Jim's 61st birthday and we all retreated to Jim & Sharon's place for some reminiscing and scotch.
