We went to the old town of Fairbanks which was just down the road from the RV Park. This used to be a major terminus of stage coaches and railways during the boom times in the late 1800's. Today, a few buildings in various stages of restoration exist.

After looking around the town and visiting the old schoolhouse, we travelled to Tombstone AZ. The old courthouse has been turned into a very nice museum with a lot of items on display form the old Wyatt Erp era. This is where a lot of the old outlaws that survived the gunfights were dealt with.

The town was in full swing with a cowboy music festival. There were lots of folks in traditional cowboy / gunfighter costume.

We had lunch at the saloon that was owned by Doc Holliday's girlfriend, Big Nose Kate.

In the evening, we enjoyed sitting around the mesquite wood campfire, sipping wine and looking at the stars.
